Mary Jane Ethridge

It is with great admiration and gratitude that we share the inspiring story of Mary Jane Ethridge,
a lifelong educator whose passion for learning and teaching has touched countless lives. Throughout
her career, Mary Jane dedicated herself to nurturing minds, fostering curiosity, and empowering
students to reach their fullest potential. She taught at Stephen F. Austin Elementary for 32 years
and was a member of Delta Capa Gama and numerous other organizations in the Baytown community.
In keeping with her unwavering commitment to education, Ronny Cornelius has chosen to make a
generous donation in honor of Mary Jane to the Lee College Scholarship Fund. This gift will open
doors for future generations of students, providing them with the resources and opportunities they
need to pursue their dreams.
This contribution is more than financial-it is a continuation of her life’s work, a testament to
her belief that education is the most powerful tool for change. Through this scholarship, Mary
