Navigator to Bearkat Teacher Program

The purpose of the Navigator to Bearkat Teacher Program is to develop lasting collaboration between community colleges, universities, and school districts to build and maintain a pipeline of K-6 teacher candidates who graduate from Houston-area public schools, attend Lee College for two years, attend Sam Houston State’s teacher preparation program (in person or online) including a paid opportunity for clinical teaching or teacher residency and return to a Lee College service-area public school to teach.
Upon award, a contract detailing the agreement will be required.
