Gary Englert

The Lee College Foundation is proud to announce the establishment of the Gary Englert Scholarship, honoring the distinguished service of our current Foundation board chair, who recently retired after an exemplary 40-year banking career. Gary began at Bank of America in the 1980s, later serving as market president of Stellar Bank from 1998 until his retirement. Named Baytown Sun’s Citizen of the Year in 2013 and an active Kiwanis Club member, Gary’s commitment to education and community development will continue through this scholarship, providing financial support to deserving Lee College students for future generations. Gary, a devoted family man, has relocated to New Braunfels to be closer to his beloved grandchildren. He often shares that while his career brought him fulfillment, his greatest joy comes from spending time with his family and watching his grandchildren grow.
