Thomas Frank Denson Safety
Tom Denson, born on April 11, 1920, in Beeville, Texas, was a dedicated family man, World War II veteran, and hardworking member of the Texas workforce. He served in Okinawa during the war and later worked as a welder and supervisor at Texas City Refinery, where he helped establish union benefits for employees. Tom was married to Ruby Nell for 63 years and raised six children, always putting others first despite the challenges his family faced. He showed incredible generosity, often helping struggling families. In 1968, he survived a severe fall at work, which left him with lasting injuries but never diminished his caring nature. Tom passed away in 2003, but his legacy lives on through a scholarship named in his honor at Lee College, benefiting students and the industry he cared deeply about.
