Baytown Little Theater - Kelly Martin

Kelly Martin was a seventy-year resident of Baytown, Texas, serving the Goose Creek Consolidated Independent School District for over thirty-eight years as a classroom teacher and administrator, and his greatest love in that career was teaching elementary math and PE. Kelly first “trod the stage” at Baytown Little Theater in 1965 in the comedy “Who Was That Lady I Saw You With,” and his final appearance was as the rabbi in the 2013 “Fiddler on the Roof,” at the Lee College Performing Arts Center, a tradition followed by his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren when four generations of Martins appeared in this same production. The make-up studio is named after JoAn and Kelly Martin, honoring him and his wife of 70 years, who were also named Lifetime Members of the theater in 2011. Kelly was noted for his outstanding singing talent, and he led many gatherings such as church, Kiwanis Club, and others in singing together. He would be proud to know that students will be aided in achieving their goals at Lee College.
