Emile Romain & Florelle DuPlantier Senac Scholarship

Rusty and Jenny have established this scholarship for students pursuing a degree in engineering or a related engineering vocational study in memory of Rusty’s parents. Rusty’s father, Emile, died in 1986 at 68 years old. He was a retired petroleum engineer with Getty Oil Co., where he worked for 26 years. He was also a member of the Petroleum Institute. Rusty’s mother, Florelle, died in 2012 at 94 years old. Although employed briefly, her dedication was as a volunteer. She served in several organizations, but the center of her life was her Catholic faith. She had a talent for gardening, enjoyed feeding birds and loved to shop for bargains. Emile and Florelle were married for 45 years.
