Saundra Smith Memorial Theater Scholarship

Saundra Smith passed away on 7/24/21 after a valiant fight with cancer. She was a teacher for many, many years and an active member of the Baytown Little Theater for over 50 years. During that time, she was the props mistress for many, many shows and was the defacto props mistress for the overall theater for the last 25 years. Her love of theater expanded into directing as well. Saundra loved everyone she came in contact with, and acted as a second mom to so many of our youth over the years. if someone needed a meal, a place to stay, or just a sturdy shoulder to lean on she was always there. Saundra would be thrilled to know that her legacy is one of assistance and aid to those wanting to pursue theater arts, whether as a vocation or avocation.
