Henderson Family Trust

John P and Charlotte Henderson left a substantial gift from their estate to create scholarships for students. The Hendersons were longtime supporters of Lee College and left the largest estate donation the college has received in its 89-year history. John Henderson served as a regent on the Lee College Board. He attended UT Austin and was a letterman on the Longhorn football team. He began his career in 1939 at Humble Oil and Refining Company, which is now ExxonMobil. John passed away at 107 in 2020 and Charlotte died one year later at 106. They were recognized by the Guiness World Record as the all-time oldest living couple of aggregate age.
