Bartlett Cocke

Our story
Since 1959, Bartlett Cocke General Contractors has been on the cutting edge of construction. Founded by Bartlett Cocke. Jr., we have grown from a single person owner/operator construction company to become one of the largest, most respected and trusted general contractors in Texas. Five decades of satisfied clients can attest to our successful track record of safety, timely completion, cost savings and quality.

Our foundation is our people.
Many of our employees, skilled craftsmen, officers and shareholders have been with us for over 25 years. And for good reason. We are employee-owned, financially well-managed and promote and reward creativity and responsiveness within our organization. Our employees are not only passionate about the project they’re working on; they are invested in each other and the company as a whole. These are just a few of the reasons that we were voted one of the “Best Places to Work” in Texas. As a result of our people-centric culture, our clients and design partners quickly discover that we are team players with full partner commitment on every project.

Our company specs: Passion. Excellence. Service.
Loving what we do is only part of the equation. Providing superior contracting services, which in turn promote the best interest of our clients, is also essential. Bartlett Cocke General Contractors regularly makes value-added planning, scheduling and construction recommendations that solve complex challenges and save our clients millions of dollars on “brick and mortar” issues. We also conduct some of the strongest internal quality programs and safety initiatives in the state, which helps us to maintain a strong financial position and bonding capacity. We are proud of our total service package, including our Start-to-Finish planning process, which results in a complete and timely close-out with no loose ends.

Success begins at the top
Our corporate culture and customer relations are defined by our group of leaders. Our leadership group of industry professionals fosters a collaborative work environment while being integrally involved in individual project success and providing a clear vision for the future of our firm.

Impact

Barlett Cocke, in affiliation with the East Harris County Manufacturers Association, has made a significant impact on students at Lee College through their second annual golf tournament raising over $280,000. Funding will provide scholarships for students, professional development and stipends for instructors, and much-needed equipment for the programs that are in demand in this Gulf Coast region.
